Unlike many other reviews, the heart rate monitor cream did not solve my problem. I continued to not get a signal in the middle of my workouts after purchasing both the cream and a tighter strap. I finally had to just buy a new watch and monitor and have not had a problem since.

I was very disappointed with this product. There was no monitor reading at all until I had worked up a good sweat and then there was a greasy stain left on the shirt I was wearing. Simply putting a drop of water on the monitor before putting it on worked much better for me than using this product. I haven’t tried any other similar products, so I have nothing to compare this to; but if, as others say, this is better than the other available products, I guess I will stick with water.

When I do get a small window to work out, I don’t have time to waste to get my heart rate monitor to work. Water usually works but when it doesn’t I can waste 1/2 my workout trying to get the device to read my pulse. I found Spectra 360 Electrode Gel to be only slightly better than water. Buh-Bump cream, on the other hand, works perfectly every time, no issues ever. It takes so little to work the tube should last a long time. I highly recommend this stuff for use with heart monitors.

I was a little skeptic at first, but this stuff actually works really well. If you want your HR monitor to work before you really work up a good sweat, this stuff is great. Water only works for so long, and this is much better. If you always warm up really good, and are sweating before you turn your HR monitor on then this stuff likely won’t do much for you. The HR straps usually work good once you are constantly sweating.

It’s electrode cream. There’s not really much to say. But I have used my polar heart rate monitor without it and there is no question that it works much better than saliva or waiting for enough sweat to build up to make a connection. Just a dab will do ya.
